Tennis On Offer

At Beach Haven Tennis Club, we offer a large array of opportunities to play tennis. You are welcome to play individually (see below for court booking info) and/or join us at any of the organised activities!

Beach Haven Tennis courts electronic access key (fob)

Fobs are issued to club members if requested. There is a $20 fee for this.

  1. Please pay to the club account:
    BEACH HAVEN TENNIS CLUB
    01-0113-0062996-00
  2. When paying, please clearly identify the member's name whose key fob fee is being paid for.
  3. After making the payment, email: tennisbeachhaven@gmail.com to let us know.

The fob will open the gates to the courts, including the one in between the Beach Haven Tennis Club terrace and the Council public courts terrace. It will also open the door to the club house so you can access the toilets and get your water bottle topped up.

To open an electronically closed door or gate just hold the fob in front of the key pad, there will be two beeps and the door or gate will unlock.

Since the fobs are personalised, the fob will be de-activated after you terminate your membership, please return your fob to the club, IT CAN BE RE-USED.

The fobs are issued with a username and a password that give you access to the iSquash system. You can check if the courts are booked or reserved and you can book a court for yourself and your partner for a certain date and time. Note: you can book ONE court for several timeslots, you cannot book TWO or more courts, that has to be done by an administrator.

Instructions on how to access the iSquash system below.

Wednesday Morning Social Tennis

We have a strong contingent of mid-week social players at Beach Haven Tennis Club. The Wednesday morning tennis session is open for all members - both beginners through to experienced players.

This is a very friendly group and we strongly encourage those who are keen to swing by the club and hit a few balls to drop in.

Play commences at 9:00 AM, finishing at midday with a morning tea break around 10:30am.

Play is organised on the day with an occasional mid-week friendly tournament thrown in to add some variety.

Come along and have a go, no partner needed. See you there!

Wednesday and Friday senior club evenings

Senior Club eveings are held on a Wednesday and Friday from 7:00 PM.

On club nights members' guests and the public can join in for no charge for a maximum of three visits, after which they are encouraged to become members.

Club members can use the club courts at any time unless they are booked for interclub or club nights.

Junior players

Junior players meet on Saturdays at 9:00 AM (juniors aged 5-10)  or at 10:00 AM (aged 11+ and depending on playing ability - ask the coach) during the summer season for coaching.

We like parents to be actively involved with the supervision and coaching of their children, and parents are encouraged to help on Saturday mornings at least once over the summer.

Junior Interclub teams start at 10 years old and run up to the age of 17.

Adult Beginner/Rusty Racquet

Adult beginner/rusty racquet session on a Sunday from 4-6pm is run by our coach Moss.  He is assisted by other developing coaches and committee volunteers.  A very keen group of players get to enjoy drills and some point play in a very welcoming learning environment. This is a great introduction to the club and many of the attendees go on to confidently attend other club sessions with some signing up to play in our interclub teams. It is a great pathway to match play.

Come along and try it out - just let Moss know you are coming in advance by phoning him on: 021 828 575.

Senior Interclub

Beach Haven Tennis has teams entered in up to 15 grades for Summer Interclub (late Sept - mid May)

We also participate in the Winter Interclub competition (end of May - mid Sept)

For the ladies there is the additional competition North Shore Ladies Day Tennis Association (NSLDTA), matches are played on Monday or Tuesday mornings depending on the grade of play.

You can check the results of their efforts via the Tennis Northern website, or go to our own web page and click the appropriate links there.
