Special General Meeting Notice – Adoption of New Constitution

The Marlborough Tennis Club Inc. advises all Voting Members that a Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held to consider and vote on the adoption of a new Club Constitution.

Meeting Details

  • Date: Wednesday, 4 March 2026
  • Time: 5.30 pm
  • Venue: Marlborough Tennis Centre

Purpose of the Meeting

The primary business of this Special General Meeting is the adoption of a revised Constitution. The Draft Constitution reflects the changes discussed and approved in principle at the Annual General Meeting held on 9 October 2025, and has since been reviewed by a solicitor.

The Committee has also approved one additional amendment:

  • Fully paid-up Junior members aged 16 years and over will become Voting Members, recognising their contribution to the Club. In practice, this is expected to affect approximately 8–12 members per year.

The Draft Constitution can be viewed here:[Link to Draft Constitution]
