With the abrupt end to the summer senior interclub season our teams had only one or two games to complete the summer draw. Sadly, our three men’s interclub teams didn’t fare well on the ladder, however I am sure this did not dampen their spirits out on the courts. One of our two women’s doubles teams fared better, Raewyn’s Rumblers achieved third place with 1 match to go.  Most notably, this team scored a perfect 6 points a total of 4 times in the ten rounds played, an achievement not reached by any other team this season.  An outstanding achievement!  Our other women’s team came in tenth with few points behind the three teams in front so it’s fair to say the last unplayed match could have been a “game changer!” Our two weekend mixed doubles teams did their best out in the heat during the middle of the day, Jacquie’s Jets finishing 10th and Raewyn's Ravens, with two rounds left to play were definitely pipped at the post finishing second on the ladder.  Most notably this team scored the perfect 10 (winning all 8 matches) on the day in two rounds...a feat only achieved by one other team, Whangaparaoa, the leading team.  So it’s fair to say the Ravens were definitely pipped!   A big thank you to all the team members and their captains for competing and participating in the summer interclub season.
