Coaching update at PCTC

We'd like to update you on an important change to our coaching programme at Pt Chevalier Tennis Club.

Gabriel and his coaching team will no longer be delivering coaching lessons at PCTC. We'd like to sincerely thank Gabriel and his team for their contribution to the club over the past year and wish them all the very best for the future.

We're delighted to announce that Tom Feeney and Allan Clements have been appointed as our new Joint Head Coaches. Many of you will already know Tom and Allan, as we've been fortunate to have them coaching at PCTC over the past few years. They bring a wealth of experience, a strong connection to our club, and a genuine passion for developing players of all ages and abilities.

We'd also like to sincerely apologise for the unsettled start to Term 3 as we've worked through this coaching transition. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period. Making the change now allows us to complete the transition ahead of the new season, ensuring we're well prepared and ready to hit the ground running when the 2026/27 season begins in September.

Over the coming months we'll be sharing more information about Tom and Allan's coaching programme, including details of their junior and adult coaching offerings. We'll also be promoting our Love Tennis Open Day, taking place on Sunday 13 September, which will be a fantastic opportunity to meet our new coaching team, have a hit, and introduce friends and family to the club.

In the meantime, if you'd like to arrange private lessons for yourself or your children, Tom and Allan currently have some availability. You're very welcome to contact them directly - Tom on 02108294696 and Allan on 0279538365.

Please join us in welcoming Tom and Allan as our new Head Coaches when you see them around the club. We're excited about this next chapter for coaching at PCTC and look forward to the opportunities it will bring for our members.

If you have any questions about the coaching transition, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Ngā mihi,

The Pt Chevalier Tennis Club Committee
