Alert Level 3
Hello to all our members. Thank you for being patient while we make preparations for reopening the courts. The good news is that we can open the courts to our members tomorrow (Thursday) so long as certain conditions are met.
The process we would like you to follow is two part:
1. Please book a court on our webpage.
If this is the first time you will need to create an account.
2. Follow this link to the Contact Tracing Form and submit. This is required and managed by Tennis New Zealand.
Tennis courts are available for members who can play in their own bubbles. Please do not bring anyone else from your bubble if they are not playing.
To minimise common touch points, we will be wiring the gates open and roping off seating areas.
We will be providing hand sanitiser on site and have a plan to sanitise surfaces once a day.
The Pavilion will remain locked and alarmed 24/7, so unfortunately we cannot offer bathroom breaks.
Non members are able to play in their bubbles, usual court fees apply. See below poster with advice from Tennis New Zealand.

IN OTHER NEWS
Hello Everybody!
Despite the season ending prematurely, we would like to celebrate the success and participation of all our teams. This year the club had 11 senior teams competing in interclub grades. Our teams were comprised of many different ages, and it was excellent to see several junior players playing senior level tennis. Throughout the season it has been inspiring to watch all of our teams practice and complete at the club (and for the second part on our nice, new courts!!).
In the Premier and Division 1 grades, the club performed exceptionally well, with all teams reaching the semi finals. The Premier women were the only team to triumph into the grand final, before going down to a powerful
Waimairi team 5-1. Four of these matches came down to the 3rd set tie breaker. Excellent effort! Our Division 6 and 7 men’s teams also had successful seasons, finishing in the top 4 of their respective grades.
We would like to give a special mention to a few teams for their excellent attitudes and drive to improve this season. Firstly, the Division 2 ladies for their commitment, perseverance and courage to give something new a go! Most of the team started in “Ezy Tennis” and had never played a competitive match. They progressed onto organised match play at the club, and this season grasped the challenge of interclub with two hands. It has been a pleasure to watch their motivation to develop new skills but most of all, their enjoyment on the court.
On any given day, if you are at the club, it is highly possible that a member of the Divsion 1 men’s team will be there practicing. They have shown
extreme commitment to their improvement this season with self- organised practices often going for several hours. Division 1 is a notoriously strong grade, so finishing in the semi finals is a tremendous result. Hard work pays off!
Lastly, we would like to mention the Division 6 men’s team for their great job supporting junior players transition into senior interclub. We are very grateful our senior teams are so supportive of juniors developing their skills.
Thank you all for representing TKHP with pride and respect. We look forward to seeing you all next season. ☺
