Winner of the Club Facilities Award – Te Atatu Tennis Club
This was in recognition of all the upgrades we have done to our club over the past year. New courts from the foundation up, new fencing, club upgrades and the most recent grant to upgrade our lights.
Winner of the Club Volunteer Award – Suzanne Florian, Te Atatu Tennis Club
This was in recognition of the work Suzanne has done in our club over the past year. Obtaining $300,000 worth of grant funding, for courts, fencing and lights, project management of the installation of all these upgrades, working with the junior coaching team to introduce Grasshoppers, coordination of the senior interclub, maintenance of the club database, working with the webmaster to keep the website up to date with going-on and many more behind the scenes jobs that may arise.
Winner of the 20 year Gold Service Award – Wally Wymer and Lesley Wymer
This was in recognition of the many years of service Wally and Lesley have given to our club. They have been players, committee members, veterans coordinators and have lent a hand many times around the club to ensure events run smoothly.
It was a wonderful night and once again, I am very proud of my local club, as should its members be.
