Welcome to Spring and the start of the tennis season.
Open Day
Thank you to everyone who attended our Open Day last week. It was so good to see you all there and meet all the new members.
Despite the showers of rain that briefly swept through it was good to see so many on court with our coaches.
Thanks to Kiwi Tennis for supplying Jesse and Mark to run the sessions, Hell Pizza Beerescourt for the vouchers as prizes, and Don for cooking a super BBQ.
Annual General Meeting
The Club held its AGM on August 18th.
We have confirmed the appointment of officers and Committee members.

The club would like to send a big thank you to departing Committee members Niki Mills and Doug Robinson. Niki has been invaluable as firstly Treasurer then Secretary. Niki was key to keeping the club running during the covid years and establishing the operational framework that will drive the club for years to come.
Doug has played a key role with improvements to the facility with repairs to fencing, steps to the clubhouse and inside the clubhouse too. Thank you both.
Junior Club Night
The popular Junior Club Night returns in term 4.
Come along and join Jesse in fun games and coaching. There are 3 sessions that cater for different age groups and abilities.
3:45 - Kiwi Red and Orange (5-10 year olds)
4:30 - Kiwi Green and Teens
5:45 - Kiwi Bronze, Silver and Bronze (Interclub Players)
Junior Club Night begins on Wednesday October 14.
Interclub Tennis
Thank you to all that have registered to play interclub tennis.

Senior Social Tennis
The club has a number of weekly sessions for you to join.
Veterans tennis is every Monday and Wednesday mornings 9:00 - 10:30 followed by morning tea in the clubrooms.
Adults sessions are Saturday afternoons from 2pm. During daylight saving there is also a session on Wednesday evening from 5:30.
Everyone is welcome to come along for some fun tennis. All levels of ability are welcome.
Coaching
Kiwi Tennis partners with our club to provide coaching. This includes the junior squad sessions on Monday and Tuesday afternoons at Beerescourt.
They also offer coaching to adults with their excellent crew of coaches.
Get in touch with Pete Hoyland to organise some sessions at a time that suits you.
Vale Edna Holmes
The club would like to acknowledge the passing of Edna Holmes.
Edna was a long time member of our club, playing right up into her 90’s.
She recently celebrated her 100th birthday and maintained a keen interest in our club.
We send our condolences to her family and friends.
Main Gate
A reminder to shut the main gate behind you on your way out after playing. It’s easy to forget sometimes but is important to keep the courts and clubrooms secure.
