CLUB CHAMPS

Due to recent events, we have had to revise several club champ dates, so the remaining events are as below:

SUNDAY 2 APRIL – Mens Singles, 9.00am

SUNDAY 16 APRIL – Ladies Singles, 9.00am

FRIDAY 21 APRIL – Mens Drawn Doubles, 5.30pm

If you would like to compete in any of these events, please ensure your name is on the list at the clubrooms or email us at clivetennisclub@gmail.com.

Congratulations to all the participants in the events we have held so far.  We will set a date for prizegiving soon and look forward to a large celebration!

CLUB COACHING SESSIONS

Now that summer has sadly drawn to an end (for what it was worth!), we are nearing the end of our coaching for the season.

Junior Coaching – last session will be Saturday, 8th April (Easter weekend)

Adult Coaching – last session will be next Wednesday, 5th April.  We will follow this with a shared fish & chips dinner for anyone who is interested.

Saturday afternoon sessions (1.30pm onwards) will continue – all adult and high school members are welcome to come along.  Games are made up on arrival and are suitable for all abilities.

KTP Coaching also continues to run tennis aerobic sessions on Monday evenings.  Please contact Guy (027 449 4500) or Katrina for more information on timing and cost.

LOVE TENNIS

Pop it in your diary now!  Love Tennis is scheduled for Sunday 10th September, 11.00am-4.00pm.  This is our opportunity to showcase our wonderful club and kick off the new season.  We normally have a sub-committee to help prepare for this event, and it’s important to have new faces each year to help out.  It’s not a huge commitment – a couple of sessions before the event and then some time on the day.  If you would like to be part of this sub-committee, please email us at clivetennisclub@gmail.com

EASTER RAFFLE

As per our previous email, we are currently selling tickets at the clubroom for our Easter raffle.  This will be drawn on Saturday 8th April, and funds raised will be donated to Matjaz Kotnik and his Blackbots team for their upcoming Asia Pacific Championship.

CYCLONE FUNDRAISER

A doubles tennis tournament is being held at HB Lawn Tennis on Saturday 29th April to raise funds for cyclone relief and also Waipawa Tennis Club (whose Astro courts were destroyed in the cyclone).  For more details on this tournament, click here.

CASUAL USE OF THE COURTS

It's great to see our courts so often in use with members playing at their convenience.  We do have a WhatsApp group where members can arrange social play with other members  -  click here to join the group if you're interested or email clivetennisclub@gmail for more info.  Simply suggest a date and time that you're keen to play and see who else is available.  Please note the clubrooms will not be open at these times (unless a committee member is present), so you will need to bring your own tennis balls.
