The replacement LED lighting for Bay 1 (Courts 1 to 5) is now complete and has resulted in a very significant increase in the lumens (more than two or three times the previous levels).  The light is white as against a more yellow appearance of the old lights.   Members  who have played under the new lights are highly complimentary about the quality of the product.

The lights are linked to court bookings and they will come on automatically about 8/10 minutes before the start of the booking and go off about 5/8 minutes after the booking period ends.  Users pay in advance for use of the lights through the booking system.  Currently the tariff is set at $5 per half hour.  Courts 1 and 2 are reserved at all times for Members or Club approved events.  The public can book the lights on Courts 3/4/5 provided a Club approved event is not taking place.

The Club Committee has agreed to install LED lights on courts 6 and 7 so keep an eye out for information and how you can help with building the necessary funds.
