Junior Interclub 2026/27 Season
Junior Interclub is played on Saturday mornings at 9am at the Braided Rivers Community Trust Ashburton Tennis Centre & at other club courts. A Reserve will be played on Friday evenings, from 6pm.
Players must belong to a local Tennis Club & be entered in an Interclub team at a grade appropriate to their skill level.

Grades for 2026-27 Season
The competition is divided into 4 grades according to the players' ability.
The Grade are:
Junior C: Beginners grade: all those new to Saturday interclub tennis.
Junior B: Intermediate/beginners (those who have at least played a full season of Junior C in 2025/26).
Junior A: Experienced hitters, ready to use full bounce balls and play two sets of singles and two sets of doubles.
A Reserve: Junior players (year 9+). A Reserve is playing on Friday evenings for the 2026/27 season.

Fri 16th October – A Reserve starts for the season
Sat 17th October – Junior A, B, C Interclub starts for the season
Fri 23rd October – LABOUR WEEKEND – No A Reserve
Sat 24th October – LABOUR WEEKEND – No Junior Interclub – Mid Canterbury Junior Open (24/25/26th)
Wed 4th November – Primary/Intermediate/Secondary Schools Tennis Tournament
Fri 13th November – CANTERBURY ANNIVERSARY DAY – No A Reserve
Sat 14th November – CANTERBURY ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND – No Junior Interclub
Fri 11th December – Final A Reserve games Pre Christmas
Sat 12th December – Final Junior A, B, C Interclub games Pre Christmas
Fri 29th January – A Reserve resumes Post Christmas
Sat 30th January – Junior A, B, C resumes Post Christmas
Fri 5th February – WAITANGI WEEKEND – No A Reserve – Junior Age Group Tournament
Sat 6th February – WAITANGI WEEKEND – No Junior Interclub – Junior Age Group Tournament (6/7/8th)
Fri 19th March – Junior Graded Tournament – No A Reserve
Sat 20th March – Junior Graded Tournament – No Junior Interclub
