December Club News- Christmas Cracker!

Kia ora members!  Christmas is nearly here.  It’s a busy time of year but hopefully you can have a quick hit before the year is out. 

Welcome to Sean

Sean Malone will be taking over as Club Manager from Jan 2023.  Sean is a member from a family of tennis players, so will be a familiar face to many.  We are delighted to welcome him to the role!  

Senior Social Play

Senior social play will carry on right through the holiday period for those who are in town and keen.  Courts 1-4 are booked on Wednesday nights from 6-9pm as well as on Sundays from 2-4pm.  There is no session on Sunday 1st Jan.  Self-organise and bring your own balls just in case.

Senior Club Coaching

Head Coach Sergey will restart a 6:30-7:30pm session on Wed 1st Feb.  The month of February will be dedicated training for current Interclub players.

Play for Ukraine Tournament- 21st & 22nd Jan 2023

Players aged 14+ are welcome to enter this fun open tournament and help raise funds to support the Ukrainian people.  Head Coach Sergey will be running the tournament and you can enter via the Tennis New Zealand tournament link below.  There will be reduced court booking times we are hosting the tournament.  Visit www.playforukraine.co.nz or Facebook to keep up with the latest news.

Don’t forget to get down to Stanley Street to enjoy the ASB Classic (2nd -14th Jan).  With the stellar player line-up, including the just announced star power of Venus, tickets are going fast!   Then the excitement heads across the ditch for the Aussie Open starting on 16th Jan.  Sky Sport is the way to watch in NZ if you don’t have your ticket to Melbourne booked.
