The ball used in the green stage has 25% less compression than a traditional yellow tennis ball. Green stage players may be children progressing from the Hot Shots Orange stage or players who are new to tennis.

Green Stage court sizes vary between 7m x 20m or  8.23m x 23.77m (full singles court). The Green Stage court dimension creates a playing environment for children that is similar for an adult on a full sized court. This allows children to use their technical and tactical skills to explore the court much like an adult can on a full sized court.
