Ball machine use

We own a Slinger Tennis Ball Launcher – your new essential training partner!

Designed for players of all levels, the Slinger Launcher makes solo practice easy and effective. With adjustable speeds and angles, it lets you tailor every shot to your skill level and training goals, whether you're working on groundstrokes, volleys, or serves. Portable and easy to set up, Slinger is perfect for on-the-go training sessions.

We encourage all members to use the ball machine – all we ask is that you take care of it and treat it like your own.

Issues arise and accidents happen – so if the ball machine stops working or you think you have damaged it, please let us know immediately by contacting one of the committee members: Call Raech on: 021 643 074, or Ange: 027 337 1169.

Ball machine usage guidelines – please read carefully.

  • Please complete the register every time the ball machine is used, this helps us keep track of usage for maintenance reasons.  A printed register will be provided in the ball cupboard for you to complete.
  • Please limit usage to 2 hours max, allowing for recharging time and others wanting to use the machine.
  • Only paying club members are to use the ball machine.
  • Any children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult when using the machine.
  • Please read the ‘How to use guide’ before using the machine if you haven’t used it before.
  • Please keep track of the ball machine remote – it’s the only one we have!
  • When you have finished using it, place all balls back into the machine, pick up all stray balls around the courts (including any that go over the fences), return it to the cupboard, plug it in and turn it onto charge – ready for the next person.
  • Add the time you stopped using it to the register.
  • Ensure the door is shut and locked.

Download the "how-to guide" here. A printed copy will also be available with the ball machine.
