Juniors
The club offers a range of competition and coaching opportunities for all juniors and abilities.
All coaching for the 2023/24 season is held on Monday and Tuesday after school.
Please note all junior registrations close on Sunday 24th September. Free coaching is provided with membership.
Once all junior registrations have been received, coaching groups will be formed based on age, stage and ability. You will receive an email with your coaching group, day and time before the end of the holidays.
For Beginners from about 5 years old we offer basic coaching to introduce the child to tennis. This coaching programme is delivered in a fun, engaging way by our Head Coach, Kate Williamson and her team.
Mini-tennis is a competition held on a Friday at 4.30pm at Lincoln Tennis Courts for 5-8 year olds, where they play against other clubs. This is a competition designed to give young players an opportunity to develop early concepts of playing a game on half courts. They play both doubles and singles. Coaching is provided for mini-tennis players within our Tuesday coaching programme. If interested please register on the Ellesmere Tennis Website for Mini-tennis.
For older Primary and High school players we enter teams into the Ellesmere Interclub Competition, which is played on Saturday mornings with either 8.30am or 10.30am start times. There are multiple divisions for both primary and high school grades. To play in Primary grade the player must be Year 8 at school or below at the beginning of the season. To play in High school grade, the player must be Year 13 at school or below at the beginning of the season. Each team is provided with high quality coaching at their assigned time on a Tuesday with Kate Williamson and her team. In addition we run our own club championships and players can enter Ellesmere and other tournaments.
