The club offers a range of competition and coaching opportunities for all juniors and abilities from beginner to advanced.  Private lessons are available by arrangement directly with the coaches.

All coaching for the 2026/27 season will be held on Tuesday or Wednesday after school.

Please note all junior registrations close on Sunday 27th September.  Coaching and the option of playing interclub are provided within our membership.

Once all junior registrations have been received, coaching groups will be formed based on age, stage and ability.  You will receive an email with your coaching group, day and time before the end of the October holidays.  Please attend the club day coaching to assist us with assessing ability and appropriate coaching groups.
Club Day Coaching Saturdays 12th and 19th September

9-10am Beginners 5-8 yrs

10-11am Primary 9+ yrs

11-12pm High School aged

For Beginners from approximately 5 years old and for those who are new to tennis, we start with the basic skills and coaching to introduce the child to tennis. This coaching programme is designed to make tennis fun, and engaging by our fabulous team of coaches.

For older Primary and High school players we enter teams into the Ellesmere Interclub Competition, which is played on Saturday mornings with either 8.30am or 10.30am start times. There are multiple divisions for both primary and high school grades, catering for all levels of tennis. This is a great way of putting what players learn at coaching into practice.

To play in Primary grade the player must be Year 8 at school or below at the beginning of the season. To play in High school grade, the player must be Year 13 at school or below at the beginning of the season. Each team is provided with high quality coaching at their assigned time on a Tuesday or Wednesday.  In addition we run our own club championships and players can enter Selwyn tournaments.

We encourage players to use the facilities and play with their peers and families.  If your child is registered, and you want to come and have hits with them outside of coaching times, you are very welcome.  There is no requirement for a parent to pay senior registration, unless they are wanting to play tennis within the adult competitions on offer within the club.
