Sarah is one of our two Head Coaches at SHTC. A familiar face around St Heliers, Sarah started coaching at the club after completing her Junior coach development course through Tennis NZ. Sarah leads our junior squads programmes, Tennis Fit and offers private lessons for indivduals and groups.

Sarah spent 4 years living and playing competitive tennis in the USA on a college scholarship and is currently competing at a high level, currently ranked as an S2, D3. Sarah's favourite thing to coach is the serve!

Hilary is one our two Head Coaches at SHTC. Known by most kids in St Heliers, Hilary leads our Club's enormous junior programme. Hilary also works on many of our adult programmes and offers private lessons for indivduals and groups. 

Hilary has coached tennis at a number of clubs around Auckland and plays competitively. Known for her patience and organisation, Hilary is focused on progression for our small players and helping adults learn or return to the sport.

Ben has been a coach at SHTC since 2019, starting with holiday clinics, junior coaching, feeding Senior tennis fit and now taking private lessons as well.  Ben has also won our Men's Singles Club Champs twice, doubles once and mixed doubles three times. His favourite thing to teach is backhands.

Mike has been coaching at St Heliers for coming up to 20 years and is a legend around the Club. You will normally find Mike on Court 5 feeding balls and commentating at Tennis Fit. Mike's favoruite drill is short ball coming in - don't lob on his court. 

Alex has coached at St Helier since 2020. She is a legend with our youngest players, she runs a fantastic birthday party and is also seen at the club with a laptop when acting as a voluteer on the club's Management Committee. Alex likes to coach everything, especially volleys and variations of fruit salad.
