About
In 1990 Temuka Park Tennis Club amalgamted with United Tennis Club, which iteself was an amalgamation of the former St Peter's and Presbyterian clubs. The new club kept the name of the United Club, although the headquarters remained in the domain.
A number of visiting coaches were engaged but this was not enough to ensure the continuity, encouragement and supervision needed. At the end of the century there wa little tennis in Temuka until the return of Brian and Faye Mulvey. Their efforts and coaching provided the spark to enliven interest. By 2008 school age children had regular competion and the courts were well used. Letitia Uren took over from the Mulveys, Carol Prue then served as president for two years.
