COVID 19 Update - VACCINE PASSES REQUIRED
The traffic light system is upon us. With the safety of our members foremost in our mind we will be a double vaccinated facility/club until we go to the green system. Signage will be put up today.
The New Zealand Government has announced that the New Zealand COVID-19 Protection Framework will be in place from 11.59pm, 2 December.
As a result, We had a meeting with the Squash Committee on Wednesday night, unanimously decided that the Whanganui Tennis club and the Whanganui Squash Rackets Club will be implementing a vaccination policy in accordance with the New Zealand Government’s traffic light system.
This means the facility at 3 Bassett Street & the Whanganui Tennis Club, will be a COVID-19 vaccination certificate venue, from Friday 3 December. Only those people over the age of 12 years and 3 months who can provide written or digital evidence of them having a Covid-19 vaccination certificate, known as My Vaccine Pass, will be able to access the club, and facilities.
This policy will require all members, staff, visitors, and guests to provide evidence of their My Vaccine Pass on demand if they are over the age of 12 years and 3 months.
Please be ready to show us your vaccine pass on club days.

What a fantastic weekend this was for LOVE TENNIS Day . Well organised by the team of Robert Scott, Sherylynn Kleingeld, Revel McIntyre and Steven Brindle who put in a number of hours to make it happen.. More FM were there promoting us and it was a fantastic day had by all. 55 new members joined our club and we also had 37 members volunteer to help on the day. Thank you very much!
Our fantastic patron Barbara has turned 90 years young. Our Mid week members organised their midweek lunch and unfortunately I could not make it. I was lucky enough to visit Barbara a few weeks earlier and went through a few of her scrap books. It is amazing how much you have done for tennis in Whanganui. You are one of a kind !
