Rules

**Rules for Tennis Club Championship:**

1. **Eligibility**: Players must be either a senior member of the club or a member of a senior interclub team affiliated with the club in order to participate in the championship. This ensures that participants have a level of commitment and connection to the club's senior tennis programme.

2. **Match Format**: Singles matches will follow the standard scoring system with best-of-three sets. Tiebreakers will occur when sets reach a score of 6-6 to determine the winner of the set. This format ensures consistency and fairness across all singles matches in the championship. For doubles matches, instead of playing a third set, a super tie to 10 points will be played to determine the winner. This ensures consistency and fairness across all match types in the championship.

3. **Code of Conduct**: Players are expected to adhere to a code of conduct, which includes fair play, respect for opponents, officials, and spectators, and maintaining appropriate sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

4. **Scheduling**: Matches are to be scheduled to accommodate all parties involved within the designated time frame given by the tournament organisers. This ensures that players have ample opportunity to compete and minimises scheduling conflicts.

5. **Replacement Due to Injury**: If a player withdraws from the championship due to injury before any matches are played, a new player may be added to the draw as a replacement. The replacement player must have a similar or lower ranking than the withdrawn player. This ensures fairness and maintains the integrity of the tournament draw.

6. **Entry Deadline**: Once the entry deadline has passed, no additional players can be added to the championship draw. This ensures that the tournament can proceed as planned and allows organisers to finalise scheduling and other logistical arrangements.
