As we wrap up another summer season and move into the cooler months, it’s a great time to reflect on the tennis season and what has been happening at the Club.
Below are some updates on senior and junior tennis, including some key dates, upcoming dates for the diary and general information.
Acknowledgements
Ongoing maintenance including cutting back the shrubbery and ensuring everything works as it should has been carried out by members of the committee, along with the installation of a new gate and security system. This all seems to be working really well and a big thanks to our committee who put in a lot of work to make sure things run smoothly.
It is also a good time to acknowledge the voluntary hours of committee members who undertake these maintenance and improvement activities as well as other tasks to ensure our members have a lovely club house and courts to play on. We also appreciate the ongoing support this year of Pub Charity and NZCT grants which help keep costs down.
Senior Tennis news
The Club President vs Club Captain fun doubles tournament was held earlier this month during the Saturday Club session and was well attended with 19 people. The friendly competition was narrowly won by the President's team.
