Important Dates and Session Times for Hotshots  2024/2025 (Beginners Tennis Programme)

Hotshots starts on Saturday the 21st of September.  

Online registrations are available online now on the memberships page.

Hot Shots : Learning tennis skills, having fun.

There are 3 sessions for Hotshots on Saturdays:

5 to 7 year-olds (red ball) 9.15am to 10am

8 to 10 year olds (orange ball) 10am to 10.45am

10 years plus (green ball) 10.45am to 11.30am

Important Dates for Interclub Players 2024/2025

Junior interclub players have one coaching session per week either on a Tuesday or Friday between 3.30pm - 6.30pm.

Junior coaching starts:  Week of the 14th of October 2024 (Week 1 School Term 4)

Junior interclub starts:  Friday 18th/Saturday 19th of October 2024

Finals: Friday 13th/Saturday 14th of December 2024

Back-up finals day: TBD

No play Labour weekend, Canterbury Anniversary weekend

Junior coaching restarts:  Week of the 3th of February 2025

Junior interclub restarts:  Friday 7th/Saturday 8th of February 2025

Finals: Friday 21st/Saturday 22nd of March 2025

Back-up finals day: Saturday 29th March 2025

Start times for Interclub matches on Saturdays:

8.30am Girls and Boys 10 & under and most 12 & under.

10.30am Girls and Boys some 12 & under.

10.30am Girls and Boys 14 & under and Girls and Boys Open.

Membership 2024/25 Season

There are two membership categories:

• HotShots  for younger children aged 5 years + who are just beginning to learn to play
• Juniors  (19 years and under) which covers children / young adults who are capable of playing in teams, and receive one coaching session each week.

The Interclub competition

The club participates as a team in the Interclub competition organised by Canterbury Tennis. Junior and Intermediate tennis are mostly played on Friday evenings/Saturday mornings, at venues around Christchurch. Access cards for parents

For parents of junior players, the club allows access to the courts for play without requiring a full senior membership. This provides access for one year.
