Important Dates and Session Times for Hotshots  2023/2024 (Beginners Tennis Programme)

Hotshots restarts on Saturday the 10th of February 2024. All registrations from 2023 will automatically carry over to 2024.

Learning tennis skills, having fun.

There are 3 sessions for Hotshots on Saturdays:

5 to 7 year-olds (red ball) 9.15am to 10am

8 to 10 year olds (orange ball) 10am to 10.45am

10 years plus (green ball) 10.45am to 11.30am

Important Dates for Interclub Players 2023/2024

Junior interclub players have one coaching session per week either on a Tuesday or Friday between 3.30pm - 6.30pm.

Team Trials: 26th August 2023 4pm -5pm (please direct any queries to coach@beckenhamtennis.nz)

Junior coaching starts:  Week of the 9th October

Junior interclub starts:  Saturday 14th October

No play Labour weekend, Canterbury Anniversary weekend

Start times for Interclub matches on Saturdays:

8.30am Girls and Boys 10 & under and most 12 & under.

10.30am Girls and Boys some 12 & under.

10.30am Girls and Boys 14 & under and Girls and Boys Open.

Membership 2023/24 Season

There are two membership categories:

• HotShots  for younger children aged 5 years + who are just beginning to learn to play
• Juniors  (19 years and under) which covers children / young adults who are capable of playing in teams, and receive one coaching session each week.

The Interclub competition

The club participates as a team in the Interclub competition organised by Canterbury Tennis. Junior and Intermediate tennis are played on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings, at venues around Christchurch.
