Important Dates and Session Times for Hotshots  2025 (Beginners Tennis Programme)

Hot Shots restarts on Saturday the 8th of February 2025.

Hot Shots : Learning tennis skills, having fun.

There are 3 sessions for Hotshots on Saturdays:

5 to 7 year-olds (red ball) 9.15am to 10am

8 to 10 year olds (orange ball) 10am to 10.45am

10 years plus (green ball) 10.45am to 11.30am

Important Dates for Interclub Players 2025

Junior interclub players have one coaching session per week either on a Tuesday or Friday between 4.30pm - 6.30pm.

Junior coaching restarts:  Week of the 3rd of February 2025

Junior interclub starts:  Friday 7th/Saturday 8th of February 2025

Finals: Friday 21st/Saturday 22nd March 2025

Back-up finals day: Friday 28th/Saturday 29th March 2025

Start times for Interclub matches on Saturdays:

8.30am Girls and Boys 10 & under and most 12 & under.

10.30am Girls and Boys some 12 & under.

10.30am Girls and Boys 14 & under and Girls and Boys Open.

Membership 2024/25 Season

There are two membership categories:

• HotShots  for younger children aged 5 years + who are just beginning to learn to play
• Juniors  (19 years and under) which covers children / young adults who are capable of playing in teams, and receive one coaching session each week.

The Interclub competition

The club participates as a team in the Interclub competition organised by Canterbury Tennis. Junior and Intermediate tennis are mostly played on Friday evenings/Saturday mornings, at venues around Christchurch. For parents of junior players, the club allows access to the courts for play without requiring a full senior membership. This provides access for one year.
