Weekly Social Tennis
Come down and we'll match you up for some fun doubles. If you want to play singles, that can be set up as well. Non-members can try it out for up to 3 sessions at no charge. Here are the times:
- Saturday, 1pm-5pm
- Thursday, 6pm-8pm (lights available if needed)
- Tuesday, 10am-11:30am
(Wednesday, 6pm-8pm is added in the summer season, end of September through March)
Group Tennis Lessons
Beginner, Beginner Plus and Intermediate classes (taught by our Asst Coach team)
All are welcome! Non-members can take up to 3 lessons at no charge and then it's $10 per session. Members can take these classes for free. Enrol in our group tennis lessons using the following link (dates and times are listed in the form). Click here for the Group Lesson sign-up form.

Burwood Park Tennis Club is situated in Cresswell Avenue in Burwood and nestled under the trees of popular Burwood Park, about 8 minutes’ drive from the centre of metropolitan Christchurch, with the bus stop just outside our clubrooms.

As a premier club in the eastern suburbs, we cater successfully to Junior, Midweek, Mixed Doubles and Senior Tennis for more than 80 years!
Around 500 tennis enthusiasts from our wider tennis community use our facilities through various competitions organised by the club and Tennis Canterbury.

Our coaching crew delivers every summer weekend through the school term a world class Hot Shots tennis program. Junior “learners” play a version of the adult game, using modified equipment to enhance their tennis experience. Hot Shots is then a feeder into Junior interclub.
The culture at BPTC creates inclusive environment where seniors and juniors play together and yet we also encourage players to be matched to levels of tennis within their playing range - for fun and fitness or for competition at the highest level. No matter what your intensity, we’ll always encourage a nice cup of tea or something stronger at the end of the day, to review the day's play.
