Annual tennis exchange with Kilbirnie Tennis Club

This event is played on a home and away basis. It was our turn to go to Wellington so an enthusiastic crew of 15 travelled to Wellington on Saturday 24 September to play  on Sunday in pretty gnarly conditions (typical Wellington). The conditions suited the locals much better so Kilbirnie won the shield back from us.  It was the 35th anniversary of the event which made it pretty special and everyone had a great time in spite of the weather.  It was played in memory of Graham from Kilbirnie who passed away this year and was one of the instigators of the event.  The other instigator, Margaret Wood from HN, joined us in Wellington this year which also made it extra special. It was a great social weekend - the tennis was a bonus as always!
