Congratulations to Havelock North Tennis Club members ALEX CAVE & HUNTER EVERY on receiving a Wilson Ambassador Sponsorship each for the upcoming season!!  

This is an amazing achievement, as very few of these sponsorships are available in New Zealand & these are a first for Hawke's Bay!
Alex & Hunter are the top-ranked Junior tennis players in Hawke’s Bay. Both have also won the Senior Hawke’s Bay Singles Residentials – Alex 3 years ago (she has been Runner-Up for the past 2 years) & Hunter this year.

Alex & Hunter started playing tennis from early ages - Alex at 3 years old & Hunter at 5 years old. They are both coached by the Havelock North Tennis Club’s Head Coach, Rynold Timothy & play with Wilson Blade racquets. A typical week for them involves 2 x 1 hour private tennis lessons with Rynold, 2 x 1.5 hour squad training with the performance squads at Havelock North Tennis Club and another 2 hour session with the Tennis Eastern Junior Development Group.

Also, gym time to complement these training lessons/sessions & playing time involved with Senior interclub leagues & tournaments throughout the year. They also play for Hawke's Bay as both Junior & Senior Representatives.
Alex and Hunter should be a great inspiration for our Junior players at the Club – WELL DONE!!
