Contact: 0225616257
Hamish has experience competing at the highest level in NZ, as well as playing college tennis in the USA. He is originally from New Zealand and has 7 years of experience coaching with all ages and levels of players.
“I have a great approach to coaching kids, especially young ones as I use imagination to turn tennis games into games, eg “battleships, or save your friend” to make it fun and keep them engaged.
With competitive juniors, I have a strict mentality toward them, as I really try to teach the importance of thinking smart and staying focused and disciplined mentally.
With adult group lessons, I have many drills and games to introduce to the team to keep the sessions new, and interesting, and can create lesson plans that suit the interest of the players.
Past Experience
• Assistant coach for Greendale tennis club. (3 years)
• Performance coach for Ace Sports (1 year) I was working with high-performance junior players.
Making training plans and taking them to tournaments. Also worked with young developing juniors, as well as adult groups and private lessons.
• Self-employed coach (2 years)
Finding my own clients in Miami. This ranged from beginner adults, to juniors already playing tennis but want to improve, being a hitting partner for the top 100 juniors in the country, as well as running adult tennis groups for fun, and fitness.
