Business House

The PBTC Business house competition has been running strong since 1984, with this season marking the 40th anniversary of the social, competitive, weekly Spring and Summer event.

Comprising two grades, the A Grade Premiership and B Grade Championship, teams of four represent local businesses in pursuit of being crowned winners of their respective grades. It’s doubles only, with each player playing three doubles matches throughout the evening against their opposition. A round robin format is played throughout the season with a finals evening held at the end between the two top teams of each grade.

The Spring competition is held from October to December each year and a Summer competition from February to April. A number of Kāpiti businesses consistently compete in both competitions held at the PBTC club courts and Te Atiawa public courts. The competition is played in a healthy spirit with teams connecting with each other after their contest is completed over food and drink in the Te Atiawa Clubrooms.

Registrations are now open for the 2024 Spring Competition.
