In order for safe play we require the following for our participants:

  • Soft soled sports shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunhat

JUNIOR GUIDELINES

To ensure both our Junior members and all those involved with them have a safe and enjoyable experience whilst participating in activities at our club, Pinehaven Tennis Club has implemented the following set of guidelines:

Manners and Behaviour
Be respectful at all times – to both people and property
No bad language or rudeness
No arguing with or verbally abusing anyone
Show good sportsmanship at all times
Participate and play properly while on court / at coaching / practise; No “mucking around” or distracting others with silly behaviour
Listen to instruction being given

Safety
Remain within the confines of the club fenced areas
No climbing fences, buildings or other structures
No riding of bikes or scooters whilst at coaching or club play
NB: If Junior members choose to leave the confines of the club fenced areas, whilst participating in club activities, those supervising the club play are no longer responsible for that child or their actions

Parent Participation
We urge the participation of parents on a regular basis to assist in the supervision of children and to help ensure play is enjoyable for all involved
We encourage the involvement of parents as volunteers at various levels to ensure club play is managed in the interests of the children involved
For parents to allow their children to enjoy the sport they play without applying undue pressure on their children or other children so that the game of tennis may become a life long enjoyment for their children.

==================================

Pinehaven Tennis Club will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour of any kind.
The coaching staff and volunteer helpers are there to teach children, not “babysit” them.

Please be advised that children who do not wish to participate in an appropriate manner will be made to sit out of activities taking place. This may mean the sending home of a child at the organisers discretion.

The Committee will follow up on any disrespectful or unacceptable behaviour reported and parents of those involved will be advised.
This may mean dismissal from the club if warranted.
