Newsletter July 2021

Winter has finally arrived, making playing tennis outside a challenge.  Lots of ducking and diving to get a dry court!
Opportunities to play at the club are still there for all players, at whatever level you are.

Next month we have our AGM. You can catch up with players you may not have seen for a while and be informed of what's happening at the club.  Details below....  Also a request for a lady (preferably two) over a certain age!?

Have a great month

Saturday 7th August at 3:30pm
at the Pavilion
followed by drinks and nibbles
Come and be part of decision making at the Club
See you there!

An AGM pack will be emailed prior to the meeting
Nominations for committee positions to be sent prior to meeting

Is there a member out there that would like to earn some pocket money cleaning the Clubhouse for us?  - Bathrooms, mop hard floors and run the vacuum cleaner around upstairs.
Once a week in the summer and once a fortnight in the winter at a time convenient to you!
An efficient worker would do it 30-45 minutes. If interested please apply below, or email info@tkhptennis.nz

Seeking two lady tennis players
over 70 years old

Elliot Peacock and friend, who live in the Hawkes Bay, are attending the SI Masters Games over Labour weekend in Blenheim in October this year.  They are seeking mixed double partners for the over 70s age group.  Elliot will be flying into Christchurch beforehand and travelling up to Blenheim by car.

Elliot would be grateful if you could contact him by email:  tennis.wpk@gmail.com
