Hi TKHP tennis players
7 weeks to Christmas !! Plenty of time to get playing on the lawn courts, making the most of the late spring nights.
TKHP Tennis is hosting quite a lot of Canterbury Senior Inter-club games. Below we have a list of dates when our players compete at home and appreciate an audience. On the 20th, we have 4 teams playing over the day - so come on down and support the teams, enjoy a bbq and the atmosphere.
Just yesterday the decision was made to stop accepting cash for payment of court fees. The Club has been the target of thieves for a while and it is just not safe having the money box outside. All casual court fees will only be accepted online.
A warm welcome to our new club members -

We welcome to the TKHP Tennis Club Gavin, our new groundsman. Look out for him and give him a wave.
The Clubhouse has a new/old cabinet residing upstairs. Its a bit of a long story. The cabinet is dated from the 1880s and is a remnant of the Arts and Craft movement of the time. It has tolerated being in the clubhouse garage for so many years, that no one is able to remember its origins. It made a handy tool cabinet until it was recently rescued, stripped of it’s green paint and repaired. The cabinet houses many trophies which have belonged to the various iterations of the club since 1880. These were retrieved from an old box (also in the garage). There is a folder on the cabinet which details the holders of the cups over the years. It is a good read.
