Tennis Eastern runs a one-day tournament for Year 5/6 Primary and Year 7/8 Intermediate students.   There are two grades on the day.  The dates are below.

Championship grade description

The championship grade is designed for players who can serve, rally, and know how to keep score.  Each player is guaranteed 2 matches over the day and may play up to a maximum of 3 in the day.

The top 2 boys/girls (Primary) and the top 4 boys/girls (Intermediate) will be invited to attend the regional tournament in Rotorua later in November.

There is a team, as well as an individual award for this grade.

Social grade description

The social grade is designed for players who would like to give tennis a go.  They can choose to serve under arm if they wish.  Matches are time based, to allow for more matches and reduced waiting times.
