Marilyn Lawrence (née Pryde) has been coaching on the island for over 12 years. 

Achievements include:

• Former NZ #1 and NZ Women’s champion
• Member and Coach of NZ Federation Cup for over 5 years
• Coach - NZ Junior team
• Achieved world ranking of #48 and #9 in world juniors
• Played Wimbledon 4 times, French Open ,US Open, Italian Open, Australian Open, German & Austrian Open
• Runner-up - world 21 and under - Milan
• Best win - Martina Navratilova
