Wellington Tennis Club

Wellington Tennis Club is a tennis club for individuals and families of all skill levels. So whether you are a beginner looking to learn to play tennis, a social player or play competitively – Wellington Tennis Club is the club for you.

In January 2023, the Wellington Tennis Club officially merged with the Salamanca Tennis Club which now allows members access to two great facilities. 

The Wellington Tennis Club - Newtown facility is located behind Ultimate Care Pōneke House on Alexandra Road in Newtown.  With four artificial turf courts and lights, this venue is suitable for tennis all year round.

The Wellington Tennis Club - Salamanca is located on Wesley Road in Kelburn, close to the CBD and Victoria University.  This facility has two hard court tennis courts.

Interclub

Wellington Tennis Club has a strong interclub presence with over 20 interclub teams entered into Tennis Central competitions. 

Juniors

For Junior Members we have Junior Interclub teams as well as a variety of social events for Juniors and Families throughout the year.  

Coaching

From 6 October 2025 coaching at Wellington Tennis Club will be arranged through this site with our club coach Hervé Michaud. The coaching page has more details on programs and sessions.
