Hot Shots Tennis is THE name for kids' tennis in New Zealand. The programme reinforces international best practice - promoting the game using a learning through play philosophy meaning kids learn TENNIS rather than just technique. There are  plenty of opportunities to play through sessions based on fun, tactical play, skills and social development. 

Serving, rallying and scoring is made easy because of the modified equipment. Orange Stage players use modified equipment which help players achieve success through exploring different tactics and developing their technique. Balls used in the Orange Stage have 50% less compression than a traditional yellow tennis ball. 

The Orange Stage court dimension creates a playing environment for children that is similar for an adult on a full sized court. This allows children to use their technical and tactical skills to explore the court much like an adult can on a full sized court.
