We hope you are enjoying the tennis season so far. Here is the latest from the club.
Junior Club Night
We’ve had a good run of weather so far on Wednesdays and good to see so many juniors coming along.
- 4pm - Kiwi Red & Orange (5 - 10 yrs)
- 5pm - Kiwi Green & Teens
- 6pm - Kiwi Bronze, Silver & Gold
This is free for all members.
Sessions will continue until December 18 after which we’ll break for Christmas. In the new year Club Night returns on January 29.
Interclub Tennis
It’s awesome to see all our junior and senior interclub teams out on court on Saturday mornings and Friday nights.
Thank you to those helping out with managing the teams. It is much appreciated.
Maintenance Update
We have engaged a court turf repair business to patch the baselines on Court 4 and Court 2. We expect this to be completed by the end of January.
We are also re-painting the two hard courts. This will also be done in the new year.
Book A Court
Book A Court is now live. This is a facility to give all casual, non-members the opportunity to hire a court for play. Bookings are made on our website.
Once the payment has been made a code is provided for them to enter via the new gate.
The keypad on the padlock is connected to the site and access is granted for that booked time.
For members, not a lot changes. Access to the club is still via the main gate with the key. We have blocked out our regular playing sessions for coaching, midweek tennis, senior club day, junior club night and interclub so casual play does not clash.
It is likely that casual bookings will be on the low side so jumping on a court will be easy however if members are really wanting to play at a certain time and day then a member can book too. This will remove the chance of a casual coming along and jumping in. There is no charge for the members. If you haven’t already, click on ‘register’. Your email address will link to your membership so that when you do book there is no charge. Being registered on our website guarantees you will receive all notifications and newsletters.
Main Gate
A reminder to shut the main gate behind you on your way out after playing. It’s easy to forget sometimes but is important to keep the courts and clubrooms secure.
