Sion Wiggin
Sion started his squash career at Browns Bay Racquets Club at the age of 9 and has strong memories of the club. He has gone on to become one of the strongest players around New Zealand, also competing internationally inProfessional Squash Association (PSA) tournaments reaching world ranking of 195 in 2021. Sion is now a dedicated, proficient and friendly squash coach at BBRC with high-performance credentials, he receives high praise from many club squash players.
In juniors, Sion regularly competed in regional and national competitions. He won numerous regional junior titles, including the Auckland Junior Open twice. He finished runner-up in his age group at nationals on multiple occasions. This helped Sion represent NZ at junior, secondary school and university levels.
After his success at the junior level, Sion joined the Professional Squash Association (PSA) tour, competing in multiple tournaments in NZ and around the world. One of his notable achievements includes finishing runner up at the Browns Bay PSA in 2021. He has represented Squash Auckland at regional level winning the inter-district title back in 2019. Sion has won numerous titles at club level.
Sion is also a very capable tennis player, having represented his region at junior level. With a love for all racket sports, Sion has become one of the best Racketlon players around the country. He has won the national title for the last 3 years running, and has competed on the World Racketlon tour as well.
Sion has completed a Bachelor of Accountancy degree at Massey University. He now hopes to share his extensive squash knowledge with members at the Browns Bay Racquets Club.
Sion focuses on players' technical and tactical abilities using his own experiences from his playing days. He is passionate about improving his students' racquet skills and always has a smile on his face.

Double Dot Squash
Double Dot Squash offers a wide range of coaching and training programmes for all levels and ages. Programmes offered both through the school term times and during the holidays.
Double Dot Squash is led by Head Coach Jarrod van Driel, who was awarded as the Squash New Zealand Coach of the Year in 2017 and Squash Auckland Coach of the Year in 2016. Jarrod is an experienced and qualified squash coach, having coached all ages and level of players. We are very proud to have him at the club. He coaches many programmes at our club - the largest range of programmes available in Auckland. Jarrod coaches our Academy Level players and organises and travels with them on trips around New Zealand to compete in regional, national and PSA tournaments. We have several juniors who rank in the top of the rankings in Auckland and New Zealand and are a part of NZ Squads.
Double Dot Squash, led by Jarrod, has the coaching method of 'evolving total body movement and the mind.' They deliver an enjoyable and comprehensive squash programme and services for all. They have a progress plan and pathway in place for every squash player that joins their programme, whether you want to compete at the highest level, or play squash as a social sport.
