BOP Member Clubs

Bay of Plenty Tennis brings together four affiliated tennis clubs across Rotorua, Lynmore, Taupō and Whakatāne. As a regional association, Tennis BOP provides a connection between its member clubs, helping represent their interests and support the continued growth and development of tennis in the region.

The association is governed by a Board comprising two delegates from each member club. Through this shared representation, the clubs can work together to promote participation, encourage competitive and social tennis, and strengthen the local tennis community.

Tennis BOP is part of the wider New Zealand tennis network, working within the regional tennis structure alongside Tennis New Zealand and other tennis organisations. Its member clubs provide local opportunities for people of different ages and abilities to enjoy the sport, develop their skills and connect with their communities.

The four member clubs are united through Tennis Bay of Plenty, which provides a shared voice for tennis across the region.

Each club appoints two delegates to the Tennis BOP Board, ensuring that all four clubs are represented in the association's governance and decision-making. This structure encourages communication, collaboration and the sharing of ideas, helping the clubs work towards common goals while retaining their own identities and local communities.

Together, the clubs contribute to a strong regional tennis network that supports participation, social play, coaching and competitive opportunities for players of different ages and abilities. Through their collective efforts, Tennis BOP and its member clubs aim to make tennis accessible, enjoyable and sustainable for current and future generations.

By working together, the clubs help strengthen the tennis community throughout Rotorua, Lynmore, Taupō and Whakatāne.
