There was a small turnout for the Opening Day Tournament held last weekend - 11 October - maybe the wind put people some off. However, 20 people played for the George Morris Memorial Trophy which was won by Jules Mumford and Katya Burgess as our top scoring man and woman. There was some fun tennis but it was challenging at times.
The AGM followed the tournament, with Jeanette presenting the Annual Report for the period 1 October 2024 to September 2025.
The tennis club continues to grow with increased participation at all levels and consequently we have had a very good year.
The new committee was elected with only three changes.
Steve May retired from the committee after 20+ years of service. Steve has spent hundreds of hours on maintenance at the club and helping out with social tennis. We thank you for all those hours.
Alice MacTaggart resigned from the committee as junior co-ordinator and Jason Parrant was elected as her replacement. We thank Alice for all her work and also recently as president of the Southern Lakes Board.
