The Midweek section held its annual Kerry Dear Tournament on Thursday 19 November, despite promised rain that failed to appear.   This tournament is competed for by pairs  of players matched by rankings;   the top ranked player is matched with the bottom ranked player and so on, which provides better equality of the pairs.   Each pair plays three matches with the objective of gaining table tennis points over 20 minutes.   The winners have the highest total points.  

On the day, the winners were Debz Bognar and Paula Baynes, with runners-up Gay Monk and Peter Browne.  

Generally good fun with a competitive edge!
