The Midweek section held its 2022 Kerry Dear tournament on 15 November in pleasant sunny conditions.   

The tournament consists of pairs whom the committee considers have an even chance of winning with each pair playing three matches against other pairs.   The objective is to gain table tennis points in 20 minutes of match play, with the winners being the pair who have accumulated the most points.   

The tournament attracted 14 individual entries who were matched up by committee members into 7 pairs.     After all the pairs had played at least three matches, the winners with 78 points were Helen Wong and Richard Yuschik, while the runners-up with 75 points were Miett Fear and Peter Browne.
