The Mairangi Bay Midweek Committee is affiliated with the North Shore Ladies Day Tennis Association which organises competitive ladies' doubles midweek tennis during the summer. Mairangi Bay enters teams across all competitive grades (Premier, A, B and C) and social grades (non-competitive play for B graders and below).

Teams are selected in late July/early August by the Midweek Match & Tournament sub-committee, led by the mid-week interclub convenor. The competition runs weekly from October to March at clubs across the North Shore. For information regarding midweek interclub or joining a team contact our mid-week interclub convenor (contact details below).

Competitions

Competitive Grades

Format: teams are made up of 5-6 players, with 4 players playing each match. At the match, each player will play two doubles matches (best of two tie-break sets with a tiebreak to 10 points at one set all).

C-Grade: Mondays from 9am onwards

Premier, A & B grades: Tuesdays from 9am onwards

Social Grades

A more informal competition intended to capture experienced ex-interclub players from B grade and below. It is not targeted at beginners.

Format: teams are made up of 5-6 players, with 4 players playing each match. At the match, each player will play two doubles matches. The format of these matches is decided on the day and is either best of two tie-break sets with a tiebreak to 10 points at one set all, or first to 9 games

Time: Mondays from 9am onwards
