For the 2025/26 season, Maraetai Tennis Club is offering a variety of coaching options tailored for all ages and abilities. Club coaching will run for a total of 16 weeks across Term 4 of 2025 and Term 1 of 2026.
Our Coaching Programmes
This year, we’ve made a few changes to better support our players and make the most of our coaching resources. Our Community Coaching sessions which are designed for all ages and abilities will now take place on Monday and Tuesdays offering more flexibility and opportunities to get involved. These sessions will be led by our resident coach Kim Jones and assistant coaches.
On Thursdays, we’re focusing on our Junior Development and Interclub Coaching, helping our younger and competitive players develop their skills in a dedicated training environment. These sessions are for selected players and will be led by Kim Jones and coaches from Ace Sports at Cockle Bay. Players must have completed a minimum of one term of community coaching with Kim before being eligible.

4:00pm-5:00pm- Big Red Ball (6-7years)
5:00pm-6:00pm- Orange Ball (7-9years)
6:00pm-7:00pm- Green Ball (9-12years)
Tuesday
3:30-4:30pm- Red Ball (6-7years)
4:30-5:30pm- Orange Ball (7-9years)
5:30-6:30pm- Yellow Ball (12years +)

In addition to our coaching programs, Ace Sports operates two retail Pro Shops (at Cockle Bay Tennis Club and Manukau Tennis Centre). They offer a wide range of tennis brands, including Yonex, Wilson, Head, Babolat, and Prince, as well as a variety of racquets, footwear, accessories, and bags. They also provide a professional restringing service.
