We are currently compiling teams for the 2026 winter Interclub competition. 

• Winter Interclub will be played weekly on SUNDAYS and starts on SUNDAY 7 JUNE - Start time is 10am.  
• Depending on entry numbers there will be 6 or 7 rounds of play. 
• it’s a weekly competition (meaning all teams play on the same day)
• Competition options are Ladies singles, Ladies doubles, Men’s Singles, Men’s doubles or Mixed doubles.  All four person teams. 
• Players can choose to play every week or every second week.
• There will be no play on Sunday 12 July – long weekend for Matariki.

Winter registrations for Senior Interclub

Singles

• Four players per team (or five if using a specialist Doubles player)
• Separate competitions for men and women
• A fixture consists of 4 Singles matches and 2 Doubles matches,  with a 10am start

Doubles

• Four players per team
• Separate competitions for men and women
• A fixture consists of 4 Doubles matches – playing order: 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 1 & 3, 2 & 4
• 10 am start (1 pm start  used where court availability is tight)

Mixed Doubles

• Two men and two women per team
• A contest consists of 2 Doubles and 2 Mixed Doubles matches
• 10 am start (1 pm start used where court availability is tight)

Match Format

All matches (including Singles) will be two tiebreak sets. If the score is one set all, a Super Tiebreak (first to 10 points with a two-point advantage) will be played to decide the winner.

Team Captains are  responsible for arranging alternative dates if play is not possible or matches cannot be completed due to rain. The first two weekends of August may also be used for any rained-out contests. Tennis Auckland does not reschedule any contests.
