Covid-19 Level 2 Rules of Play
Good news - under Level 2, tennis is back - but not quite as we knew it! The most important principle is to ‘play it safe’. Essentially, we can play tennis - but max 10 per group and no gathering at the Club. Turn up, play tennis and then leave!
Under Level 2, we must be able to
1. Contact trace and
2. Maintain hygiene standards and remain physically distant from others
1. CONTACT TRACING RULES
- SOCIAL PLAY:
- courts must be booked online at www.gogame.co.nz.
- Max 90 minute slots.
- every player must complete the Tennis NZ contact tracing form EVERY TIME YOU PLAY www.tennis.kiwi/checkin
(There is a ‘Remember Me’ tick box on the form so you only have to select the venue and enter details once.) This will be monitored to ensure compliance.
- CLUB SESSIONS:
- Players must pre-register for each session via WhatsApp - message Catherine 0273270868 or email milfordtennisnz@gmail.com for more details
- COACHING:
Shelley will keep a register for contact tracing, but please follow these new guidelines:
Contactless pay
Max 1 parent to accompany young children for private lessons
No spectators - parents to wait in car to drop off and collect.
2. HYGIENE AND SOCIAL DISTANCING
- Clubhouse will be be open, but only for essential use - for the bathroom and for controlling the floodlights.
- Keep 2 metres away from other people while taking part in any tennis activity.
- No spectators and no gatherings
- No food to be consumed inside clubhouse.
- All rubbish to be taken home.
- Hand sanitiser to be used on entering and leaving the court
- Stay home if you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with Covid.
- No sharing equipment
- Bring own water bottle
AFTER PLAY
If you become sick with Covid-19 symptoms within 10 days of playing at the club, it is vital that you inform the club - ph Catherine 0273270868 or email milfordtennisnz@gmail.com .
It is great that we can play again - but please comply with our Level 2 restrictions. The health, safety and wellbeing of the whole community is of paramount importance.
