Tennis New Zealand Development Programme
The TNZ Development Programme (Central) is a collaborative project between Tennis New Zealand and Tennis Central designed to contribute to Tennis NZ’s athlete development pathway. This systematic Tennis NZ led approach to athlete development targets high performing players born between 2006 and 2009 who meet the criteria outlined in the attachment below.
The daily focus of the programme more broadly will be to foster an environment whereby athletes are displaying grit, commitment and respect on a consistent basis and are utilising all available Tennis NZ resources to explore their developmental capacities in conjunction with the very important role of the private coach.
In Term 1 2020, the programme operates in the form of four weekly squads. Applications for the Term 2 2020 intake will be based on rankings as at the March 31st MatchHub update. For further information on the Programme please contact either of the coaches
