Hi TKHP tennis players

If you missed the grass court Open Day on Saturday, never fear, we look forward to seeing you another day.   

Twenty four keen players turned out to be the first ones on the grass, and it was a great afternoon of tennis.

We are pleased to say the Pavilion is now open to members.   Please remember to scan and sanitise on the way in.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation, so that we can continue to keep our tennis club open!

Due to the increased number of junior members, the volley court will no longer be available for parking.
Please use the public carpark when visiting.

Our groundsman Dave has retired and we now have a new groundsman Jeremy.   If you see him, give him a friendly wave.   

Sometimes Jeremy needs to close a court. Please comply when you see the "Grass Court Closed" sign.  It won't be offline for long.

Ladies Tennis Coaching

A new coaching session will be starting weekly on Tuesday the 19th of October at 9:30 am.   The one hour session will be $10 for members and $15 for non members.

Vets Tournament - 22/23 January 2022

Christine is in the pre-planning stage of next years Vets Tournament (22/23 January).  If you would like to get experience in running tennis events, or helping out on the day/s please contact Christine.

Tennis Lights Update

A quick update on where we are with the lighting proposed for Row  1.  Quotes have been received and grant funding has been applied for.  While we wait for that to be approved, we are also waiting on the final resource application from the council.  We want to thank everyone for being patient, the process is definitely taking a lot longer than we would have liked.

Term 4 2021:   

Fri/Sat  29th/30th October 2021, and finishes 17th/18th December. 

No coaching Friday or Saturday on Labour Weekend  or Canterbury Show Weekend.

Term 1 2022:   

Starting and finishing dates t.b.a.

No coaching Friday 4th or Saturday 5th on Waitangi Weekend

It is time for keen kids to signup for Redball League, all Mondays in term 4, 4:30-5:30pm.   No age limits but typically suits kids age 5-8 years. Play venues will vary but generally in the northwest area of Christchurch.
