Tawa Tennis Club offers a range of membership packages, designed to suit each age group, competitiveness and playing ability. As a member you have access to our wonderful facilities and can participate in club events. We offer a range of playing opportunities for juniors, seniors and families.
Club membership includes these benefits:
- Regular club social events including community play events
- Free court bookings through the club web site (club members do not pay booking fees)
- Access to court lighting and club rooms through an optional key tag.
- Club tournaments and club championships
- The ability to register for interclub competitions
The membership year runs from 1st September to 31st August the following year.

Junior membership
Junior Membership is available to those aged under 18 as of December 1st of the membership year. There are separate categories for members under 12 years of age and those over 12 yers of age.
Members can be casual, attending coaching sessions and having access to the courts and club events, or competitive and be placed in an interclub team.
Junior members can also:
- Attend Friday club nights from 5pm
- Register for Junior interclub
- Receive subsidised coaching 2023 - 24
- Note: coaching fees are additional to membership fees and are paid directly to the coach.
Adult membership
As an adult member (18 and over), you will be able to compete in an interclub team or join for recreational tennis. Adult members have access to all courts and club events.
Adult club play is on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am, Wednesday nights from 7pm, Fridays from 5pm and some planned sessions on Sundays from 3pm.
Playing Interclub
Club members are able to play junior or adult interclub (including those holding a family membership). Interclub fees are additional to membership and can be 'added on' during the registration process at the membership details stage. Junior members playing senior interclub pay the senior interclub fee.
The cost of tennis balls used by teams is included in the interclub fees so there is no additional cost for tennis balls.

Membership fees below are early bird rates for the 2024/25 season for members joining before 12 October.
All fees are GST Inclusive. Receipts are ssued on request.

Adult

Adult members of the tennis club aged 18 older.
Eligibility: Individual Members 18 years old and over. If you are playing in an interclub team you should see this as an add on when joining. If not, there is a separate interclub membership at the bottom of the membership page.
Adult Affiliated Elsewhere

Adult members affiliated to another club. Eligibility: You must be a member of another tennis club and that club has paid the affiliation to Tennis Central.
Family

Package available for up to two adults plus any number of juniors from one family. Juniors are club members aged under 18.
Eligibility: Available to families with up to two adult members and any number of junior members
Junior 11 and under

Junior members aged 11 and under.
Eligibility: Children aged 11 years and under on 1 September of membership year.
Junior 12 to 17

Eligibility: Must be a member of another tennis club and that club has paid the player's affiliation to Tennis Central.

Membership for the fixed period over summer 1 December to 31 January.

Members who miss including Junior interclub as an add on with membership can add it here. This is for junior members playing in a junior interclub team in the 2024/2025 season.
Eligibility: Junior members playing junior interclub. You must have a junior membership in addition to this.
