Tennis New Zealand Masters (TNZM), the national body to which TMA is affiliated, organises two national tournaments per year: The National Teams Event which is held over Easter, and the National Individual Championships which is held in January.  These tournaments are held in different locations around New Zealand each year.

The National Teams Event accepts team entries in 5-year age bands from 30-35 right through to 80+.  TMA organises Auckland teams to compete in these events against teams from around the country.

Any member of TMA can enter the National Individual Championships  for a chance to claim a national singles or doubles title in his or her respective age group.  A strong performance at "Nationals" can lead to opportunities to represent New Zealand in international events.
