Junior Coaching for 2023/2024

Junior Coaching begins Sunday 17th September 2023 with a new format:

9 - 9.45am   5-8 years Beginners (Red Ball - bigger ball, small courts)

9.45 - 10.30am   7-10 years - Intermediate/2nd year playing (Orange Ball, 3/4 size courts)

10.30 - 11.15am     Interclub Fundamentals. (Preparing for interclub - Green Ball)

11.15am - 1.00pm     Interclub training for all divisions

 We are waiting for confirmation from Hutt Valley Tennis Association for the start date for Junior Interclub.  Please talk with Simon if you have any questions about playing interclub this season.  We enter teams in all divisions, which covers the whole range of abilities from beginner to expert, so it is suitable for all. You will need to pay an additional fee for junior interclub players, and purchase a Junior Interclub tshirt for your child if they are playing interclub. These are $40 approx and need to be ordered and paid for via A1 Embroidery and Screenprint Ltd on Jackson St, Petone.

LHTC welcomes new junior members. Annual membership details are:-

* membership for 2023/24 runs from 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2024
* $170 fee plus $35.00 if playing interclub on Saturday mornings
* entitles junior players to weekly coaching sessions during term 4 and 1 (This is run on Sunday mornings)
* gate code for access to courts. All junior members are welcome to play at any time that the courts aren’t booked, including nights until 10 pm every day except Sunday.
* opportunity to enter club champs
* $60 optional membership for a parent playing with a beginner child
