Club News- Winter 2022
Winter has arrived and hope you are enjoying the cooler weather on court when it’s dry. Senior winter Interclub has begun on Sunday mornings and Midweek Ladies have teams competing on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Social Club Tennis
Over July and August social tennis is continuing as is, but the committee is planning to tweak sessions for the 22/23 season which starts 1st September.
Just a reminder as to current sessions:

Court Lighting Update
We were lucky enough to get a small grant from the Auckland Council Albert-Eden board to help repair our current court lights. We are working with a contractor to get a full upgrade and extension underway. The lead time is longer than anticipated and costs are higher, but this will be completed before next winter comes.
Quiz Night- Sat 30th July
To help raise funds for the lighting upgrade, Jared is back with his fantastic Quiz Night!
Get in quick as tables are limited! Why not buy a table now and then get your friends on board later? Tables for eight are $120 and it’s $15 for individual players to join a group.
If you can’t make it, a donation in lieu would be greatly appreciated.
Volunteers
We need people to lend a hand- at committee level for next season, for the working bee, to help out at Love Tennis and various other projects.
Please let us know what you can do to help out- a little bit goes a long way.
Other bits and pieces
As usual, please remember to cancel court bookings if not in use. After a ten minute no-show, a court is forfeited and other members can get on and play.
Due to repeated vandalism, the visitor honesty box will no longer be used. Direct transfers of $10 must be made to our bank account and there are signs posted with details. Thank you.
Have a lovely long weekend. Nga mihi o Matariki, te tau hou Maori!
