Coaching

Senior members can attend a free weekly coaching session (for 8 weeks during first half of season up until Christmas) included in their memberships. An interesting menu of free coaching options is included in the membership such as TennisFit, Tennis, Improver / Rusty Rackets coaching groups and Interclub Team coaching for every level. Choose the session that suits you.

Enjoyed the free sessions and want more weekly sessions at the same session time? Pay as you go per session or buy a Term.
Members $10/session or $90 for a term of lessons.
Non-members $12.50/session or $95 for a term of lessons (bring a friend to try it out)

Club Days

Wednesday Evenings - Pukekura Twilight Tennis with Head Coach Mark Belcher - doubles year-round - 6pm to 7:30pm - free for members, $10 for non members
Friday Mornings - Club Doubles from 9:30am year-round - free for members, $5 for non-members
Sundays Afternoons - Courts are open 3-5pm and families are encouraged to come down and play with your children year-round with Hot Shots equipment made to size.

Senior Interclub - teams in every division

A-Grade tennis is a Taranaki wide competition for the club’s best adult and high school-aged players.
A grade includes Soffe Cup (A1), Wilson Trophy (A2), Sumpter Trophy (A3) and Fours Grade.
Four men & four women per team play singles, doubles & combines on Saturdays from 10am.
A Grade Interclub Practice is held every Thursday during the season from 5:30 pm.

B-Grade is a New Plymouth District wide competition played on Saturday afternoons– four people per team, play singles & doubles.
B Grade practice is held at the club on a Wednesday evening from 5:30 pm.

Presidents grade is a New Plymouth District wide competition played on Saturday afternoons for over 35s.
In 2017-18, the format has changed to two men & two women per team, play doubles and mixed double only. No singles play in this competition. 

Midweek Ladies is a Taranaki wide doubles competition held on Monday mornings.

Business House Tennis

Business House Tennis is played on Mondays from 5:30 pm during the summer season. It gives members and non-members an opportunity to play social tennis after work.  To register a team (extra cost involved) please send an email to admin@pptc.co.nz 

Casual/Court User Only Members

Non-members pay a fee of $5 per session or can pay an annual Court User Only Membership Fee. Casual Court User Only members do not take part in the free club coaching programme, do not play interclub nor join in on club days unless pay an extra session fee on top of their Court User Membership Fee.
