One Set Wonder Tournament
Join us for the One Set Wonder Tennis Tournament, a fast paced event where every match is a single set showdown! Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, there’s a spot for you in this competition. This tournament promises a day of high-energy tennis and great camaraderie. Depending on numbers this will be played as doubles or singles.
- One Set Matches: Each match consists of a single set.
- Tie-Breaker: If the set reaches 6-6, a tie-breaker is played to 7 points (win by 2).
- Serve: Players alternate serves every game.
- Deuce: No advantage scoring (next point wins the game at deuce).
Leprehchaun Tournament
Our famous Leprechaun Tournament involves games with three players to each side, but only two racquets. Once a player has hit the ball they have to pass the racquet on to the next player. It takes a lot of practice and is rather hilarious to watch!
Adult/Child Doubles Tournament
Fun family grudge matches tend to be the name of the game at our Adult/Child Doubles day. Old scores are settled (and new ones created) all in the space of a few hours. Don't miss the impromptu victory dances!
Standard Doubles rules apply.
Tiebreak Tournament
Join us for the Tiebreak Tournament, an exhilarating event where every match is decided by a high-stakes tiebreaker! This unique format ensures fast-paced and intense competition, perfect for players of all skill levels. Some say we were the first in NZ to run this format many decades ago.
- Match Format: Each match is a single tiebreaker game.
- Scoring: First player to 7 points wins, but must win by 2 points (e.g., 7-5, 8-6).
- Serving:
- The player who served last in the previous game serves first.
- Serve alternates every 2 points.
- Side Changes: Players switch sides after every 6 points.
